Before a client can send changes by message, their channel is paired once with their client account. It takes about a minute per channel and follows the same pattern for WhatsApp, Telegram and email: send code, connected, test.
How pairing works
Open "Connect channels" in the cockpit and pick the client and the channel. The cockpit generates a pairing code in the format PAIR-XXXXXX and shows you the right way to deliver it:
- WhatsApp: a QR code and a link that opens WhatsApp with the message pre-filled. Your client only has to tap send.
- Telegram: QR code or link as well. When the client opens the bot and taps "Start", the code is sent automatically.
- Email: a ready-made email with recipient, subject and body to copy, or one click opens it straight in the client's mail app.
The easiest route is forwarding the link or QR code to your client, for example during the onboarding call. As soon as the message with the code arrives, the cockpit switches live to "Connected", no reload needed.
Testing
As the third step, the cockpit suggests a test message, for instance a small text change. Your client immediately gets a feel for it, and you see that everything works. You can roll the test change back afterwards in the history.
Multiple numbers, multiple channels
A client can have several channels connected at once, and on WhatsApp several numbers too, say the owner and the head chef. Each number is paired individually. The assistant doesn't act on messages from unpaired senders.
Testing it yourself: your test contact
Want to feel what the assistant is like for your clients — from your own phone? That's what the test contact is for. It works exactly like client pairing, just for you:
- In Settings, under "Your test contact", link your own WhatsApp number, Telegram or email — via code, QR or link.
- Then open a client and click "Assign test contact here".
- Message the assistant from your own channel. Your messages land with that client, as if they came from them — perfect for tests and demos.
The assignment always applies to exactly one client. Assign the test contact to another client and it moves over automatically. You don't need to add your own number or address as a client channel for this — and please don't, because every number, Telegram ID and email address can only be linked in one place.
Every number only once
Phone numbers, Telegram IDs and email addresses are unique across the system: each one can belong to exactly one client (or your test contact). That way it's always clear where an incoming message belongs. If you try to link a number that's already taken, you get a clear message telling you where it's already registered.
With email: the reply flow
The email channel works as a normal mail conversation: your client writes to the website address, the assistant replies, and follow-ups continue in the same thread. There's no app and no portal for the client to learn.
